Identification of Mint Scents Using a QCM Based E-Nose
نویسندگان
چکیده
Mints emit diverse scents that exert specific biological functions and are relevance for applications. The current work strives to develop electronic noses can electronically discriminate the emitted by different species of Mint as alternative conventional profiling gas chromatography. Here, 12 sensing materials including 4 metal oxide nanoparticle dispersions (AZO, ZnO, SnO2, ITO), one Metal Organic Frame Cu(BPDC), 7 polymer films, PVA, PEDOT:PSS, PFO, SB, SW, SG, PB were used functionalizing Quartz Crystal Microbalance (QCM) sensors. purpose was six economically relevant (Mentha x piperita, Mentha spicata, spicata ssp. crispa, longifolia, Agastache rugosa, Nepeta cataria). adsorption desorption datasets obtained from each modified QCM sensor processed three classification models, Principal Component Analysis (PCA), Linear Discriminant (LDA), k-Nearest Neighbor (k-NN). This allowed discriminating with accuracies 97.2% 100% 99.9% (k-NN), respectively. Prediction a repeating test measurement reached up 90.6% LDA, 85.6% k-NN. These data demonstrate this nose in reliable efficient manner.

All-Digital Interface ASIC for a QCM-Based Electronic Nose
An all digital interface, application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) has been developed for the control and data sampling of a quartz crystal microbalance (QCM)-based electronic nose. The ASIC is capable of measuring QCM resonant frequency between 0 – 11 MHz with a resolution of 1 Hz and +/1 Hz precision. The ASIC has been used to obtain measurements from polymer coated QCM sensors, in conj...
متن کاملClassification of Multiple Chinese Liquors by Means of a QCM-based E-Nose and MDS-SVM Classifier
Chinese liquors are internationally well-known fermentative alcoholic beverages. They have unique flavors attributable to the use of various bacteria and fungi, raw materials, and production processes. Developing a novel, rapid, and reliable method to identify multiple Chinese liquors is of positive significance. This paper presents a pattern recognition system for classifying ten brands of Chi...

Detection and identification of odorants using an electronic nose
Gas sensing systems for detection and identification of odorant molecules are of crucial importance in an increasing number of applications. Such applications include environmental monitoring, food quality assessment, airport security, and detection of hazardous gases. In this paper, we describe a gas sensing system for detecting and identifying volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and discuss th...
